One morning in September 2001, along a country road of Nosy Be, I bought my first three star sapphires.
The seller worked as a stone cutter in a local workshop.
In that time, I was traveling frequently with my sailboat ‘Kidu’, I started a little business with gems in Mayotte Island, a French territory. Those three star sapphires set in rings had such a success that I decided to make them my speciality.
On my return I searched for my stone cutter and hired him to travel up to the mines and to purchase our first raw stones since they are very difficult to identify.
